ABOUT AKA
AKA is where Gecko Live started. Founded in 2013, AKA has been one of the most booked live party bands in the South of the UK. Based in Hampshire, they travel all over the south for weddings and events and are the cornerstone of Gecko Live.
AKA is a classic party band, covering a range of styles and genres from contemporary pop, rock, and indie through to Motown and R’n’B. This has made them a perfect fit for wedding clients looking for a fantastic live band for their evening celebration, able to cater for a wide audience, whilst still staying fresh, fun and able to keep a dance floor alive.
The band starts as a 4 piece band with singer, guitar, bass and drums, and can expand the performer line up to include saxophone, keyboards and extra singers, allowing you to build the band your way.

The band has over a decade of wedding experience, working in tandem with your other suppliers and venue to create the ultimate soundtrack to your wedding day. The band’s large and varied repertoire combined with engaging performances are well suited to most venues and performance spaces meaning nothing is out of reach.
The band have previously performed for wedding couples at Kew Gardens, Chiswick House, The Gherkin, Hampton court Palace, Kin House, Silchester Farm, Pylewell Park, Bury Court Barn, Froyle Park and Gunnersbury Park amongst many others in its 10+ year career.
When you book AKA for your wedding you are booking professional musicians who are at the top of their game. The band comes fully prepared with all the equipment and lighting suitable for most venues and a dedicated sound technician to ensure that the music on the dance floor is the best it can be. If you are having a first dance, AKA are happy to learn it for you, and leading up to your day we work with you to create a party set list that is bespoke and perfect for you. This makes them one of the best live wedding bands to book for an incredible party.
AKA also offer add-ons to make your wedding extra special. They can offer early arrival and set ups for more flexibility, full DJ services between the bands live sets and up to the end of the night, and smaller acoustic duo and trio packages for during the daytime. The band utilises the same musicians, keeping the cost down while maximising your music throughout the day.

AKA know that flexibility is key when it comes to corporate events, Galas and brand events, and their flexible line up options and alternative acoustic performances make them a perfect choice for entertainment throughout an event. The band also regularly work with production companies and audio visual teams to tie in with particular event themes and ensure that your event runs smoothly from start to finish.
