The Strolling Tones are our in-house acoustic roaming band are exclusive to Gecko Live. Based in Hampshire and London, the band has been one of our most popular wedding drinks reception, cocktail hour and corporate networking entertainment options.
All of the members of the band sing, bringing incredible 4 part harmonies accompanied by guitars, bass and percussion with the popular option of adding saxophone to the band for a full and rounded sound.
The Strolling Tones are known for taking contemporary pop and classic covers and turning them into acoustic variations, changing the vibe into a relaxed and interactive entertainment choice. The band is often able to take requests from guests as they mix and mingle through your event, making sure that everyone gets a chance to hear and see them.
The Strolling Tones excel for wedding ceremonies, pre dinner drinks receptions and post dinner cocktail hours. The band is totally mobile and aren’t limited to any one space; they can perform anywhere you would like them. The band have previously performed in the library and on the terraces at St Giles House, around the swimming pool at Kin House, in the Prince of Wales Conservatory at Kew Gardens and during dinner services at Silchester Farm. The bands charm is in it’s close up interactive nature, wandering amongst guests and being a part of your day, not just a focal point.
The Strolling Tones has previously been booked by JLR, De Vere Estates, Historic Royal Palaces, Goodwood Racecourse and Volvo for awards ceremonies, drinks reception networking events, sporting events, trade shows and pre-dinner roaming performances. The bands ability to be completely flexible with it’s set up, performance times and set list allows it to suit any event and tailor the music to best fit the theme.
As the band is either fully acoustic, or uses wearable battery amplifiers for enhanced sound. The set up is fast, discrete and able to work with delegate numbers of 20 or 200+.
