Need-to-Know Tips Before Booking
Which band suits each stage of your celebration?
Jam Session or Chique = polished evening sets
Kites = perfect for natural-light receptions
MTV Addicts = throw it back and get everyone dancing
The Darts = elegant groove-packed sets for classic lovers
Horizon = maxed-out energy, stage presence, festival-style spectacle
What’s the usual coverage?
Expect two main live sets (typically 60 minutes each), with a possible acoustic or DJ slice in between bands to tailor the hours to your timeline.
How many breaks & space needed?
A band slot of 2.5 – 3 hours total usually covers setup, performance, and teardown. Ask for dimensions and access advice before day-of to make planning seamless.
Can I hear the band live before I book?
Since most performances are at private weddings, opportunities are limited. However, many bands have live showcase videos and we’ll let you know if they have any upcoming public gigs.
What happens if timings change on the day?
Weddings rarely run like clockwork, and that’s fine. Our bands are flexible and used to adjusting their sets to fit with speeches, dinner service, or unexpected changes.
Do I need to provide a stage?
Not necessarily. A flat, stable space works well, though a stage can enhance visibility and atmosphere. If you’ve booked a marquee or barn, we’ll talk through the best setup for your chosen band.
What do bands need from me on the day?
A secure performance space, access to power, soft drinks, and an evening meal for the musicians. These small details keep the performers energised and help deliver a brilliant show.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as possible. Friday and Saturday weddings book up quickly, often up to 18 – 24 months in advance. If you’re planning a weekday wedding, you’ll often have more flexibility.
