Can I see the band live before booking?
This is one of the questions we’re asked most often. Because our bands are professional wedding and events performers, the majority of their shows are at private functions which means it’s rare that you’ll be able to see them live before booking. On the occasions where a band does have a public performance, we’ll always let you know so you can come along.
How much does a live wedding band cost in Berkshire?
On average, a Berkshire wedding band in 2025 costs between £1,400 and £2,750 for a local 4‑piece band playing up to 2 hours of live music. Smaller groups, like Tremor (from £1,420), are perfect if you’re after a more compact and affordable option, while large showbands like Anthem (from £3,895) will be more.
Will the band play our first dance live?
Yes, all our wedding bands will happily learn and perform your first dance live for you. It’s one of the most special moments of your big day, and our bands love being part of it. We’ll always talk with you in advance about your song choice, as some tracks work brilliantly live, while others may be better as a recorded track. If you’re undecided, we can also suggest popular first dance songs that sound incredible with a live band.
Do I need to provide a stage?
Not at all. Most bands simply require a flat, stable surface to perform on. If your venue does have a stage, or you choose to hire one, it can really help set the band apart and make them the visual centrepiece of your evening reception.
What do the bands need on the day?
Bands don’t need much from you, but there are a few essentials. They’ll need a safe performance space, somewhere nearby to prepare and get ready, and access to soft drinks and a hot meal. Many bands travel long distances and perform back-to-back events, so making sure they’re fuelled and comfortable means they’ll be able to give you the very best performance.
When should I book?
As soon as you’ve chosen your band! Wedding bands book up quickly, especially for peak dates. Fridays and Saturdays in the summer are often reserved 18 – 24 months in advance, so the earlier you confirm, the more choice you’ll have. If you’re planning a weekday wedding or off-season date, there may be more flexibility, but we always recommend securing your favourite act as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
