East Afton Farmhouse is a little gem of a wedding venue that is set on the South West coast of the Isle of Wight. surrounded by amazing rolling hills and opposite the site of the first Isle of Wight Festival it has a pure rustic charm. The space is a perfect for small and large parties and celebrations due all of the awesome event areas.

The Events barn is brand new and the latest addition to East Afton Farmhouse. The barn increases the number of guests you can have and makes for one of the most incredible party barns we have entertained in. Overlooking the central courtyard, the huge glass doors can be opened in the summer making one giant hosting space, and in winter can make the barn feel cozy and warm, but maintain the beautiful views and setting.
The Coach House an Courtyard is the idea setting for welcoming drinks and outdoor entertaining. The large bi-fold doors can be swung open so the outside meets the inside, and can easily fit 50 people for a ceremony or dinner, and 100 people for a standing reception and evening party.
The original Stone Barn is created from the old stable block and has beautiful stone walls, exposed oak beams and carved chandeliers. It makes for an enviable wedding ceremony setting.

Party bands work best in The Event Barn, the newest of the event spaces, and musicians like our roaming bands and acoustic performers work so well in the Coach House and Courtyard.
One of the main questions that we get asked is about the logistics of getting your band in, set up, and ready to go. Most bands will require between 60 and 90 minutes to get set up and ready from the point at which they have unobstructed access to the performance space in front of the beautiful picture window.
There is always a natural lull after dinner where guests are happy mingling, taking in the stunning surroundings, and in the summer this is the perfect time to get some sunset shots in the gorgeous grounds of the farm. This can be the perfect time for the band to load in, set up and sound check. Before you know it and are back from your pictures, the band is ready to go for your cake cutting and first dance.
If you are more pushed for time or condensing your day with a later ceremony, you may wish to consider an early arrival of the band so they are set and ready before you even enter your party space. This means that the band is set and ready to perform from the very moment you want them in the evening without the need for any turnaround. Depending on the band and your timings, there may be an additional fee for an earlier arrival, but that little extra can make the difference to your evening.
