Wed­ding DJ FAQs

Can we choose our own music?

Absolute­ly. All of our wed­ding DJs work close­ly with you ahead of your big day to under­stand your musi­cal tastes, must-play songs, and any tracks or gen­res you’d pre­fer to avoid. Your DJ will then build a bespoke playlist that reflects you as a cou­ple while still read­ing the room on the night to keep the dance floor full.

Will the DJ play our first dance live?

Yes. Your wed­ding DJ will be hap­py to play your cho­sen first dance track and can also help with tim­ing, announce­ments, and tran­si­tions to make the moment feel seam­less. If you’d like advice on song choic­es or edits, just let us know.

How long will the DJ per­form for?

Most wed­ding DJ book­ings include up to 5 hours of per­for­mance time, typ­i­cal­ly cov­er­ing every­thing from your evening recep­tion through to the end of the night. Addi­tion­al hours can usu­al­ly be added if required.

What equip­ment does the DJ provide?

All of our DJs pro­vide a pro­fes­sion­al sound sys­tem, DJ booth, and essen­tial light­ing as stan­dard. Every­thing is ful­ly PAT test­ed, and pub­lic lia­bil­i­ty insur­ance is in place for com­plete peace of mind.

Can the DJ make announcements?

Yes. Your DJ can make key announce­ments on the day, such as intro­duc­ing the first dance, announc­ing the cake cut­ting, or call­ing guests to the dance floor. Just let us know in advance what you’d like covered.

Do wed­ding DJs work with live performers?

Many of our DJs offer live per­former add-ons, such as sax­o­phone or live per­cus­sion, cre­at­ing a hybrid DJ and live music expe­ri­ence. Options like DJ Sax Live and DJ Milan are per­fect for cou­ples want­i­ng a fes­ti­val or Ibiza-style par­ty vibe.

When should we book our wed­ding DJ?

We always rec­om­mend book­ing as ear­ly as pos­si­ble. Peak dates, espe­cial­ly Fri­days and Sat­ur­days, can be booked up 12 – 24 months in advance. Once you’ve secured your venue, it’s a great time to lock in your DJ.
