Wedding DJ FAQs
Can we choose our own music?
Absolutely. All of our wedding DJs work closely with you ahead of your big day to understand your musical tastes, must-play songs, and any tracks or genres you’d prefer to avoid. Your DJ will then build a bespoke playlist that reflects you as a couple while still reading the room on the night to keep the dance floor full.
Will the DJ play our first dance live?
Yes. Your wedding DJ will be happy to play your chosen first dance track and can also help with timing, announcements, and transitions to make the moment feel seamless. If you’d like advice on song choices or edits, just let us know.
How long will the DJ perform for?
Most wedding DJ bookings include up to 5 hours of performance time, typically covering everything from your evening reception through to the end of the night. Additional hours can usually be added if required.
What equipment does the DJ provide?
All of our DJs provide a professional sound system, DJ booth, and essential lighting as standard. Everything is fully PAT tested, and public liability insurance is in place for complete peace of mind.
Can the DJ make announcements?
Yes. Your DJ can make key announcements on the day, such as introducing the first dance, announcing the cake cutting, or calling guests to the dance floor. Just let us know in advance what you’d like covered.
Do wedding DJs work with live performers?
Many of our DJs offer live performer add-ons, such as saxophone or live percussion, creating a hybrid DJ and live music experience. Options like DJ Sax Live and DJ Milan are perfect for couples wanting a festival or Ibiza-style party vibe.
When should we book our wedding DJ?
We always recommend booking as early as possible. Peak dates, especially Fridays and Saturdays, can be booked up 12 – 24 months in advance. Once you’ve secured your venue, it’s a great time to lock in your DJ.
